A vaccination is a kind of medicine which trains the immune system to fight a disease or germ. It prepares the body to make antigens or antibodies. A vaccination is generally administered through needles. A vaccine can take upto 10  years to develop and to be ready to use for public.

The only way for life to get back to normal and the only way to bring an end to this imbroglios disease is a Vaccine. A vaccine will teach our bodies to fight the infection and prevent our body to catch Covid-19 and make it less dangerous.

Some of the common side effects observed are headaches, swelling, fatigue, muscle aches, tiredness, chills,etc.

WHAT ARE VARIOUS SIDE EFFECTS OBSERVED FROM COVID VACCINES?

PFIZER:

Pfizer is one of the leading vaccines out in the market with an effectiveness of 95%.

Several side effects reported includes mainly reactions at the injection site.

Fatigue, headache and muscle pain are some of the other side effects reported among people.

A small population also reported chills and fever post vaccination.

MODERNA:

Moderna is one of the most successful vaccine present today. It claims an effectiveness of 94.5%.

Reports suggest that the side effects was observed in only 1% of the population following vaccine.

The side effects reported includes vomiting, allergic reactions, nausea, swellingand rashes.

Only 10 people reported serious allergic reactions known as anaphylaxis.

COVAXIN:

Bharat Biotech's Covaxin is one of the two vaccines distributed among people in India.

The side effects reported from Covaxin are Pain, swelling, rash, fever, weakness, nausea, etc.

Bharat Biotech also warned of possible severe allergic reactions that includes fast heartbeat, rashes all over the body, Breathing difficulties, facial swelling.

COVISHIELD:

Covishield of Serum Institute of India(SII) is the largest distributed vaccine in India.

A number of side effects such as Headache, Nausea, flu-like, rashes were reported post Covishield dose.

SII also reported several possible severe reactions such as dizzy, abdominal pain, sweating, rashes, etc.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU REPORT A SIDE EFFECT?

Incase of a side effect, one should not panic. Immediately contact the doctor or visit one for timely treatment.
