As the US presidential elections are approaching, a question that arises in the mind of people is How are US election important for the world? In this blog we will talk about the US ELECTIONS 2020 and also try to find an answer to the aforementioned question.

US is the world's largest economy, with GDP of 18 trillion dollars approximately and also a superior constituting one of the largest  military force in the world. Being, Worlds largest economy and a superpower, the US presidential elections are of utmost important for political, social and economical conditions of the society. The elections take place after every four years.

When are US ELECTIONS 2020 going to take place?

The 59th United States presidential elections are scheduled to take place on November 3, 2020. The voters will vote to select the presidential electors who then will  either elect  a new president and vice-president or will re-elect the current president and vice-president of the United States.

The two major candidates for the US presidential elections are Donald Trump (current president) and Joe Biden(former vice-president ).The main issue of the US Election 2020 are the COVID-19 pandemic,  Affordable Care Act, death of George Floyd, protests.

The winner of the US presidential elections will be announced on 20 January, 2021.

How does it matter to the rest of the world?

Presidential elections in a superpower have a huge impact on the world economies. From a long time now, US has been criticizing  CHINA  for the spread of the deadly coronavirus and the current president of US warned CHINA at many platforms. India too plays a crucial role in the US elections 2020 because the pleasing US-INDIA relations and both backing each other at different platforms. Germany is also looking for significant elections. Thus, results of the US elections might have an impact on the Germany elections.    

In terms of stock markets, it is hard to say anything concrete about the likely impact of the election.  S&P 500 volatility has typically been higher in election season as compared to that in  non-election seasons, as markets frequently reprice the probability of the future administration’s policies.
